Introduction

This is a quick intro page to tell you a little about my 1998 BMW M3. I got hooked on autocross with my Mazda RX-7. I then started running open track events, and wanted something faster. I ended up with a 4-Door M3 (room for the kids!) As is usually the case, once I got the car, after waiting as long as I could (a year), I then started adding go fast goodies.

My car is a Silver M3, pictured here in front of a modded Subaru at Thunderhill raceway.

Original Factory additions

• Harmon Kardon premium sound package (includes 6-disk CD changer)
• Cruise Control
• Power seats
• Factory rear wing (worthless for aerodynamics, but fun to have)
• Sunroof (standard?)
• On Board Computer (full model, MPG, Dist, Temp, etc.)
• BMW Factory alarm

Go Fast Stuff

Below is a list of the go fast stuff I added to my M3. Note I'm not a big Dinan fan, so I put together a setup without any of thier parts. If you live near Campbell, California, A and E Performance Imports, or Import Connection are great options for BMW service and mods. These mods make the car a lot more fun on the track, but still very nice on the street. The current setup has slight understeer at the limit. This keeps the M3 safer and in one piece on the track.

• Racing Dynamics Swaybar kit, front and rear (Turner Motorsport)
• KMAC adjustable camber plates (Turner Motorsport)
